The cables AND the connector jack with the velocity factor 
figured in... and the internal probe/loop length most of the 
time figured in free-space. 

The lengths change with the different type of installed 
duplexer probes/loops. 

No free lunch.

As an example... a Telewave TPRD-1454 I have here uses a 11.25 
inch cable on one side and slightly longer on the other as 
originally ordered on 145.470 MHz. 

Sometimes "you-do voodoo"...
