Here is an idea. How about those of us who have repeaters with duplexers take measurements and post them. This would need to include ALL the information or as much as possible. Even the frequency in use, length and brand would help. The best information would be from duplexers that were ordered on the frequency in use, ham or not, and are still on that frequency. I have a set of Waycom duplexers ordered on frequency for 144 and 220 ham repeaters. I also have a 440 set made by Decibel.
Now the only thing we may should do is set how to measure the length. Oh and do we use metric or inches or both? I suggest on N connectors we measure from the very end of the connector, like we but the end of the connector on the floor and measure from the floor to the other end. Do the same for BNC. On UHF connectors we measure from the point were the two little keying points protrude but do not include the points, just from the flat surface. The length of the center pins vary with brands and types too much. Next we must identify the type of coax used by model number and brand if possible. For those that use a coax that is house marked, include that information. Reason being that somewhere there is somebody that has some of that cable that can be or has been cut up and measured or cross referenced to a known brand and model number with data that can be used. I will start measuring as soon as possible. Thoughts??? Shanon KA8SPW David wrote: > After searching the site I have not been able to figure the cable > lenghts I need.
