re: above question: 
Yes the proper mobile duplexer can be used and should work 
OK, but not with the same performance as a typical higher-Q 
(larger size) fixed station duplexer.

By mobile we "assume" you mean the more common reduced size 
duplexer assemblies. I have seen and own specialized version 
reduced size duplexers working on very narrow splits. I have 
also modified some of the more common notch pass duplexers 
for more narrow operation... but it was not easy, nor much 
fun or practical for the average Joe.

Yep, and there are assemblies that do even more narrow splits... 
just a question of what you feel is acceptable performance.
