EOM, you are correct. My solution was to have the controller simply time out 
the WX receiver when I want it to happen. The radio will reset in a few 
minutes anyway. I actually don't like the EOM. If you happen to not catch 
the first part of the transmission, you either have to command the WX RX 
back on or simply forget it. By using the timer method, it allows you to 
catch more of the broadcast, which in my area is usually a repeat of the 
alert. By the way, I'm using an RLC4 and simply utilize one of the ports for 
the WX radio.

Anyway, it works for me in my "non critical" application. For those that 
need something totally rock solid, I suggest something more commercial than 
a $30 radio.

Finding a radio that mutes at the End of message signal is key, I find the 
ones with 2 minute timers annoying.
I was surprised when I bought the $69 one from radio shack for the rv to 
find that it also mutes at End of message. I bought a second one for backup 
for the repeater.
