[Repeater-Builder] MICOR _base, audio squelch module VS mobile, audio squelch module

I am making the various modifications to a VHF MICOR repeater to be
used as a 2 Meter repeater.
Assuming that a base station audio squelch module has been modified
per Kevin's notes and also a mobile audio squelch module has been
modified according to his relative notes, how do they compare in
performance?
i.e.  Is one preferred over the other. 
The controller will be an RC-210.
