When using an RC-210 controller, there is no difference in performance 
between the two.  The only difference would be locally when listening to 
the speaker audio; where the mobile board provides better muting.   
However, full muting can be gotten by re-wiring the station board to 
take advantage of two muting switches.  So, basically there is no 
difference between the two boards if both are modified to work the same.

Better audio muting from the local speaker and quality COS signaling for 
the RC-210 will result in using the above mod, and it's easier to do 
over the mobile unit.
