Re: Vocaline UHF Radios

Oh boy... I had a pair of the Vocaline Radios and they really
were/are a popcorn fart (not even worth the trouble).

UHF and I think I remember the receivers were possibly regen
type with almost no real selectivity. Not even very stable and
did suffer from microphonics.

I don't miss mine... I do smile when I every so often see
them in the background Sheriffs Office scenes of the Andy
Griffith show.

Over the years a number of different radios and DC Remotes
appeared in the background Sheriffs Office scenes of the Andy
Griffith show. Another radio was the General Radio Telephone
unit, which I did keep and still have.

The huge Motorola DC remote and different tube era radios
can cause com-tech nightmares. Through the years I've tried
giving that old Motorola pre Research Line stuff away
numerous times but it breeds and finds its way back in the
middle of the night. Picks the door locks and places itself
back in the store room out of sight.
