I know from experience lacquer chips, I would try epoxy based paint.
 Best Regards,

Subject: [Repeater-Builder] Painting Question

Hello All--

I have need to paint an ingraved aluminium
pushbutton ----The engraving is of the depth and width as used
on my early 390.

What kind of paint should I use for the
button?----- -the color needed can be satisfied with "appliance"
almond.

What do I use for the ingraving fill paint?-----the
color needed is red.

And, ---Do I bake---and other process
comments?

Many thanks-----I' ll report my
findings--
