I remember talking to them before retiring the 1500, but I don't remember
what the price was to replace the CRT. The attenuator (mechanical) was
getting noisy/leaky too, so between those two problems, I figured it was
time to put it out to pasture. KA3LAO has it now, I think he's collecting
1500's to start a museum or build a retaining wall or something.

There was a group that was working on LCD replacements for 875x VNA's too.
I think you can still get CRT's for the C series and later, but the A and B
are NLA (which is why they go so cheap on the used market).
