How much 224 band transmitter power are you running 
(putting out)? 

What happens if you do the same type of test with 
the 224 Repeater off the antenna and into a 50 ohm 
termination? (dummy load). 

How close are the two repeater antennas to each other? 

Are you using/running circulators?
