Finally got around to looking at the model number... It's a Fujitsu fi-5750c. Several on eBay right now, a couple are under $1000.
As I said, the automatic document feeder will take 11 x whatever schematics (largest Moto page I've encountered was 11x37), and it'll even scan both sides of the page at once...
