TXRX sells a small tuning tool that makes the adjustment of the notches very
easy. it's only about a dollar or so.

I don't mean to sound dumb, but are you saying the VHF spec'd cans will
work on UHF as well,
I do have a couple of nits to pick with TX/RX about these cans however.
1) BNC connectors?!?!?!
2) It is next to impossible to get in there and tune the notches on 3 of the
cans because of the location of the adjustment caps.
3) Lack of a fine tuning for the pass rods. They slide in or out. No fine
threaded adjustment for when you get them "close".
Other than that, they seem great! I was going to turn them around and sell
them, but I may part with a set of Q-202g's instead.

Hi Norm,
I have two sets here, one new out of the box and a older unit but the same
series of duplexer. I tuned them to tx447.125 & rx442.125 and experienced the
same as you have found. I am using a HP8920 and my other unit is a HP8924. Both
show the same so I would say your units are working.

I wound up with a set of Tx/RX 28-38-03-C vari-notch duplex today. I was not
expecting much. I got them cheap. The cans are only 4". No big deal. Bigger
cans = deeper notches with less insertion loss, right? Well, unless my site
master and IFR-2945B are lying to me, I got -100db on the notches and 1.2 db
insertion loss! I will say this, the coupling loops are very different than
what I have seen in sinclair, telewave and db cans. Does anyone else have any
experience with this model? Am I reading things right?
All I got to say is, incredible!
