Resurrecting an old(er) thread.
I just picked up a Glenayre Series 97 250w UHF amp (with switcher
supplies) of Ebay. The price was too good to pass up.
Of course, I'd love some manuals on the thing - Model 9T97A250

Glenayre revised the design later to put an L-shaped bend in the inductor

Glenayre used to have flat-rate repair of $95 per PA strip (the driver and
the PA boards are the same), but that went away a long time ago. Last time
I tried to get a board repaired/replaced it was $380. The switching
supplies that go with those PA's (two in parallel for a 250 watt PA) have
been problematic for me.
