The ones 'in the middle' tend to be used less, so that could be a factor. People tend to use them from the low or high ends.
There are also some that are less likely to false, but I don't recall which ones. It has to do with the likelihood of an error in the bits matching other codes in a shifted sequence. But, overall I've rarely noticed any falsing issues with good decoders hooked up properly on any code. And yes, I have heard some systems false several times an hour. Likely a cheap aftermarket board hooked up wrong. There are also some that older radios don't support - like 053. I used that when we were a GE shop since Motorola didn't support it. Of course, then Murphy decided to make us switch 'sides' when GE's product lead times went more than 1 year out. BTW, newer Motorola radios DO support all the codes.
