Yes, essentially desense. The cable can generate intermodulation products. 
The manufacturer's admit that these cables are not low-PIM, yet hams 
continue to use them in duplex service. Many commercial sites will not allow 
it on-site for any purpose. And this topic comes up here on Repeater-Builder 
about twice a month.
