So, I suggested to add $10/$20 perks with good
dramatic/humorous descriptions, like "Little step towards freedom" or
"In the appreciation of Free GSM Library" which allowed mere people to
chime in and have a good day.
I thought you were asking for $10/$20 perks where the contributor gets
something physical in return. That would be impractical: the cost of
fulfilling those perks would eat up the money raised, leaving little
to nothing for the actual project and thus defeating the purpose.

I thought the whole point of perks was that the contributor gets
something tangible in return, otherwise anyone can contribute any
amount, however small. But if you think that the psychological trick
of offering "perks" that involve absolutely nothing tangible will help
draw people in, sure, I'll try it - doesn't cost me/us anything.
I fully agree with Paul: perks of $10/$20 make sense, because you know why
you're contributing; it's better/clearer to have a "little step forwards freedom" perk style,
rather than "contribute whatever you want" without any incentive.

Maybe it looks weird, but I believe it's part of the human nature.

Cheers,
