No idea for a replacement of the RSS feed? I didn't find an alternative that was easy to set up. The repos in the Replicant group[1] are sorted by their idle state, so that at least somewhat shows the activity. Then I'd suggest to remove the commit feed view on the website and add a link to the source code (git.replicant.us) either under "Links" or "Quick access".
