thank you for taking the time of this answer.

I agree to install Trisquel 9, the other distribution displayed as maintained, 
I only tried Debian 9 since both distribution are unmaintained.
I care about security in the sense I want to install all software and then shut 
down network to avoid any risk.

That's good to read the work is easier to finish Replicant 11 since but sadly, 
my phone will not last until this work is finished and I am confident the 
time/skills I will have is not sufficient to help on this.

I am not sure about what I could get from a LXC container since I already 
installed a debian 9.
My issue occurs when I tried to follow the build process documented on the 
website, so I do not see understand why I should get better results with a 
container.

Do I understand well?
