With a title like that, she probably intimidates a lot of people and her star is just beginning to rise. So, what happens when you do something to unintentionally hurt or offend a person like Scarlett Johansson? Well, if you're her costar in the Woody Allen movie Match Point, you send her flowers. In a recent interview Scarlett Johansson admits that she had a rather rough time of filming a scene with costar Jonathan Rhys- Meyers. The scene was filmed in a rainy setting and Johansson's allergies were acting up, so she was already miserable. Unfortunately, Rhys-Meyers made the situation a bit worse by accidentally causing some minor injuries like cuts and bruises. Rhys-Meyers did his best to make up for the injuries by sending Johansson flowers the very next day. Johansson was happy with the gift of flowers and apparently has nothing but warm feelings for her costar. Now, if flowers can touch the heart of an A list celebrity, imagine what they could do for the people in your life? We've all done things we feel bad about, whether they were intentional or not. Sometimes it's really hard to say your sorry or sometimes saying the words just don't seem like enough. Flowers are an excellent way to express your feelings to the person you've hurt. Flowers have been proven to boost feelings of happiness and are sure to bring a smile, even when they're sent under tough circumstances when an apology is warranted. They can break the ice on a tentative situation and enable you to make the first contact in healing the issue. When sending flowers as an apology, keep the likes and dislikes of the recipient in mind. If you know the person loves daisies, be sure to let your florist know their a favorite flower and make certain they're included in the arrangement. Likewise, if the recipient doesn't like strong flower scents or a particular kind of flower, tell your florist so they are not included in the arrangement. Sending an arrangement that shows you pay attention to what the recipient likes will show how important they are to you, but sending an arrangement that uses flowers they don't like may have just the opposite effect. Be sure to include a personalized note or card with the arrangement that tells the recipient how you're feeling and that you're sorry. If you're having difficulty finding the right words, ask your florist for some suggestions.
