Position: SQL SERVER DBA Duration: 6+ Months Location: Hagerstown, MD (Need Local Only) Rate: $45/hr We are seeking a SQL Server Administrator with experience consulting with 3rd party download systems. You will be setting up systems (Vericenter, Term Master, and NCC) and performing migrations from one data center to another. Required Skills: Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA. Knowledge of Vericenter, TM Suite and NCC. Must be proficient in a clustered server environment. Proficiency in backup and recovery is required. Solid knowledge of database administration, database monitoring and tuning, logical data modeling, and physical database development. Understands the principles, theories, practices and techniques of project management. Basic understanding of how the technology influences business strategic direction, enabling definition and integration of technical plans supporting the enterprise business functions and processes. Supports one or more databases of low to medium complexity (complexity defined by database size, technology used, and system feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility of the data. Must have above average written and verbal communication skills. Ability to take on call responsibilities and work the weekends for implementations.
