Job Title:BM z/OS Project Manager Who can apply: U.S. citizens and H-1Bs accepted Number of Openings: 1 (will have to interview face-to-face if selected by the client…no exceptions) Job Location:Salem, OR Job Duration: 6 months with a possible 1 year extension Bill Rate Range: Open Job Description: The DHS Project Manager must have an excellent understanding of the IBM z/OS environments, develop a comprehensive DHS user acceptance test plan (UAT) using existing DHS Project management Templates that include testing each component (both software and DHS applications), tracking issues, resolving problems and will be responsible with interfacing with the SDC project manager to coordinate tasks and activities that involve DHS. The scope of the DHS will be to include all activities from the delivery of a test environment by the SDC to final implementation into production of all DHS applications. The work will also include the Cleartext project. The scope of the clear text project is to address transmissions that either enter or leave the SDC in clear text. The data transmission takes place by the IBM mainframe applications, FTP processes , TelNet clients and client server applications which are outside the firewall. To stop transmission of data in clear text - the ports on DAS, DHS IBM mainframe systems and AIX systems need to be changed to enforce TLS / SSL encryption. To support encryption and secured connections - the clients such as Host Explorer and 3270 connections, FTP processes and AIX OS need to be upgraded. Skills Required: 1. Enterprise DBMS knowledge. 2. Enterprise knowledge of multiple client/server applications. 3. Scheduling of multiple siloed groups toward a single goal. 4. Gain basic understanding of DHS operated systems. 5. Rollout scheduling for above mentioned siloed groups. 6.
