*Position Title* – DB2 DBA

*Location* – Indianapolis, IN

*Duration* – 6 Months

*Pay Rate* – $55/hour (All Inclusive on C2C)



*Essential Duties/Responsibilities:*

·         Completes environmental analysis of data needs and requirements of
existing and proposed systems and develops technical, structural and
organizational designs and specifications;

·         Designs databases while working with IOT for recovery, high
availability, performance, security and maintenance;

·         Monitors the standards, procedures, integrity and integration of
data for the current DB2 and/or MS SQL server databases;

·         Consults with and makes recommendations to business and technical
groups at all levels to define data requirements, evaluate data technology
needs, and formulate solutions;

·         Develops work plans for assigned data projects and supervises
their execution;

·         Provides guidance and reviews the data structure on special
projects;

·         Works with current DBA on the project;

·         Creates and maintains logical and physical data modeling and data
diagrams;

·         Develops and enforces a data strategy and associated policies;

·         Develops working knowledge of the current child support data
warehouse;

·         Discern business/technical needs as it relates to child support
data;

·         Graphically and verbally communicate data concepts;

·         Evaluates technology and products to determine the feasibility of
adding to DCS IT standards;

·         Identifies and explores the potential strategies for long-term
planning implementation;

·         Serves as project lead for software products associated with data;

·         Works with and provides guidance to staff, for maximum utilization
of the agency data;

·         Performs other related duties as assigned.



*Job Requirements:*

·         Advanced knowledge of IBM DB2 for Z/OS;

·         Advanced knowledge of data assessment, data quality, data storage
and conversion techniques;

·         Advanced knowledge of database software, database definition
languages, data dictionaries, SQL, computer programming and testing of
programs;

·         Advanced knowledge of data communications, connectivity and
security;

·         Thorough knowledge of computer hardware/software capabilities and
configurations;

·         Thorough knowledge of data warehouse architecture and standards;

·         Thorough knowledge of the most recent technical developments in
the data management field;

·         Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL server;

·         Ability to perform logic analysis;

·         Ability to read and understand complicated technical
documentation;

·         Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;

·         Ability to apply theories, principles and methodologies to
existing database software;

·         Ability to design complex data architectures to support the use of
child support data;

·         Ability to guide and coordinate the work of others.
