Job : Manager (Delivery Lead)
Location : Michigan, Detroit
Duration : 6 Months
Scope of Work:
a.. Has a project team, including senior technical personnel reporting to
them.
b.. Requires extensive knowledge of the supported business area as well as
the area being managed
c.. Coordinates information management solution development/implementations
d.. Reviews scopes/plans and prioritizes one or more projects
e.. Assures adherence to corporate policies and project delivery procedures
f.. Reviews and ensures a high level of quality and service are maintained by
meeting or exceeding commitments
g.. Initiates, develops and enforces standards and procedures in support of
improved service
h.. May be heavily involved in technical decision-making activities
i.. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
j.. Has wide latitude in determining creative solutions to strategic and
operational needs
k.. A high proficiency level in specific job related skills is required
l.. Minimum 8 years related experience preferred
m.. Master's degree in related field preferred
Summary:
Our Client is currently seeking an IT Manager (Delivery Lead) for our Business
Information Center / Jefferson facility. This Manager will work independently
within guidelines, be responsible for initiating, planning, executing,
controlling, and closing application and system implementation projects using a
formal project management methodology. Additional responsibilities include
facilitating status meetings with project team members to collect % complete,
remaining work, due dates, issues, risks, etc. Excellent project management,
consultative and analytical skills are a must.
Required Skills/Experience:
a.. Proven competence in analyzing business needs and working with cross
functional (technical & non-technical) teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
b.. Experience leading a matrix project team to define, establish, and ensure
completion of all program milestones while adhering to timelines and budgets.
c.. Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a delivery or consulting role
leading Information Management related initiatives is required
d.. Proven experience managing projects at various levels of complexity using
different Project Management Methodologies.
e.. Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication
skills and attention to details a must.
f.. Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Software development
Lifecycle (SDLC)
g.. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other teams and identify
solutions to meet customer needs
h.. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
i.. Prior experience with, or exposure to, Data Warehouse or BI solutions
j.. Experience in creating and managing detailed project plans for small to
high complexity projects
k.. Prior experience leading cross-functional teams which may consist of
employees, contractors, and consulting partners
l.. Proven experience is minimizing exposure and risk on project
m.. Experience working with and managing 3rd party vendors on Project
Deliverables
Preferred Skills/Experience:
a.. Prior experience in healthcare or payer industry is preferred
b.. Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
c.. Solid knowledge of the Project Management Institute's standards and
terminology.
d.. PMP certification is a plus.
e.. SQL experience/knowledge
f.. Demonstrated ability to identify and implement continuous improvement
initiatives
