(in years) : 8+ years Primary Skill: SharePoint Admin/Development, 2010 - 2013 version upgrade experience 4+ years experience in SharePoint 2010 / 2013 administration. 4+ years SharePoint developer working with data migration, custom workflows 2+ years experience as tech lead guiding tasks developed by an offsite/off shore development team. Successful candidate will be responsible for implementing proof of concept with respect to upgrading an enterprise SharePoint system from 2010 to 2013. Hands on execution is required as well as providing oversight for a remote development team. The focus for this position is the 2013 upgrade implementation so experience with SharePoint migration from 2010 to 2013 is a must. Assist in installation/configuration of future state components. Install and configure migration tools. Execute Migration PoC. Analysis of custom code. Primary interface to offshore resources. Works closely with business units to determine which SharePoint functionality to be made available and create user provisioning and governance controls Troubleshooting, tracking of incidents/problems, working with clients for resolution, creating technical specifications and support documentation. This person needs to be an expert in building blocks such as site collections, sites, lists, views, workflows, and libraries, understanding of security and audience management. This role has much direct interaction with the user community Work within the department to share information and advise other development and infrastructure efforts Establishes/follows policies on system use and services. Uses industry best practices, with particular strengths in managing web services or technologies. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Client MFS (financial brokerage firm) is planning to do system upgrade and they have roughly 80,000 users. They are upgrading from SharePoint 2010 to 2013. Currently there over 100+ semi-customized sites with varying degrees of customizations. Worker will run pilots and pilot sites. Worker will need to work on customizations to make them feasible for the upgrade. This person will not be involved with the normal production day-to-day activities and will be working with consulting team to determine which sites should be included in the pilot. Worker will then carry out acceptance testing. Candidate should be able to work in team environment as they will likely need to coordinate with offshore developers in India. Currently there are 2 senior developers (based in the US) that are already in production environment. SharePoint certified is preferred, but not required.
