POSITION :LAN / Network Administrator LOCATION :New york LENGTH :6+ Months Contract Required Qualifications: Strong hands-on administration experience on Windows 2003 server – Forest, Domain, AD, Schema, DNS, WINS, DHCP, OU, Distribution list, Windows folder security, and IP filtering. Strong troubleshooting skills in a Windows 2003 environment – Event log analysis, installation and administration of Windows Server 2003, including user setup and defining roles, performance tuning, backup and restore, security monitoring, registry and AD scripting. Heavy Root Cause Analysis resolution. Ability to work well with manager, other departments, agencies, and technical support staff. This includes the ability to clearly document and explain problems, as well as work with others to resolve software defects. Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol. Ability to plan, manage time according to schedules, and provide status updates required. Ability to quickly learn new tools and resolve issues using all available resources. 3 – 5 years experience in the administration of Windows 2003 server. 3 years experience in the administration of MS Exchange 2003 Enterprise. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Hands-on experiences with Microsoft products – SQL, SMS, ISA, Project, Has the ability to be self motivated and find answers on his/her own. BA in MIS, Computer Science, related field from a recognized college or university or equivalent work experience. MCSE certified in Windows 2003 is required Citrix – Presentation Server certified is a plus Knowledge in Netbackup, Blackberry, Websense, HP printer server, BMC Patrol, is a plus. Weekend work is required.
