PS8, Line 363: Unpartitioned Kudu tables are inefficient for large data sizes.
Does it make sense to verify that columns of the DATE type can be specified for 
range partitions as well?  Otherwise, how do we know that impala shell wouldn't 
reject a request to partition a table by a DATE column?
