Change subject: Update CMake to 3.25.3 ...................................................................... Patch Set 2: (1 comment) http://gerrit.cloudera.org:8080/#/c/21569/2//COMMIT_MSG Commit Message: http://gerrit.cloudera.org:8080/#/c/21569/2//COMMIT_MSG@13 PS2, Line 13: We also have to stay compatible with Ubuntu 18.04. : So, 3.22 is the newest we can go. > BTW, what's is the issue with cmake 3.22.6 on Ubuntu 18.04? Does cmake 3.2 cmake 3.22.6 has no problems on Ubuntu 18.04. 3.23 was giving some strange errors, that's why I went with 3.22. But after a git clean -xfd 3.23 works fine. I could not find any official page for supported platforms. Kitware updates its ubuntu 18 repo until 3.25 and also there is this ticket that confirms that they do not care ubuntu 18.04 for newer versions: https://discourse.cmake.org/t/newest-cmake-not-available-from-apt-kitware-com-for-ubuntu-18-04/8272 I run 3.25.3 on the operation system listed in the commit message. I used the official Ubuntu docker images, but I got the RHEL and SLES docker images from the CDH : 7.1.9.1000 build.
