fair enough, just wanted to ensure it was being done in preparation for
disk backed iterator (or atleast that would be something which can be
implemented using this).
Actually, instead of Iterator, would be good if we exposed a restartable
iterator - this allows for interesting usecases.
Btw, incompatible api change right ? Any attempts to preserve (with
deprecated warning) existing behavior ?
