Hey Tom, I'd suggest just adding a conditional in this one place to begin
with.
For Windows operation, you could start by copying the files (inefficient,
but easy to test on Linux). Then we can open a JIRA to use JDK 7 linking if
available, and we can have someone implement and test that later if there is
demand.
