@srowen we should still back port to branch-1.0. The reason why these PRs
haven't been merged is because the context cleaner suite hasn't been passing
and no one has really looked at it yet. I closed my other UI port PR by mistake
when I was deleting my github branches, but before I reopen it I would like to
fix the test first (though unfortunately that is of lower priority than fixing
flaky tests in master branch).
