    Hm that should work. What command did you build the jar with? I did
    
    ```mvn -Pyarn -Dhadoop.version=2.2.0 -Dyarn.version=2.2.0 -DskipTests clean 
package```
    
    And if you do `unzip -l <jar> | head`, does it spew any warnings or errors 
about the length of the jar being incorrect? I had the experience of building 
the jar with the same command on two different environments, on the CentOS HDP 
cluster and on my local OSX, and the former gave me a corrupt jar.
