`RENAME TO` can not change catalog, and I believe the original error makes sense as `spark_catalog` is being treated as a namespace. Isn't it the same behavior for v2? `ALTER TABLE mycat.ns1.tbl RENAME TO mycat.ns2.tbl2` should move the table to namespace `mycat.ns2` not `ns2` ---------------------------------------------------------------- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
