I think I have fixed the PySpark unit tests failure with https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/32253/commits/d19c52777c5193f2f9196f4b71746ab990af00e1. It's currently running on GitHub Actions at https://github.com/luhenry/spark/runs/2438377858?check_suite_focus=true.
