Review comment:
On further thought ... my comment about attemptNumber is not valid.
A new job will result in a new stage (since `stage` would have been removed
from `shuffleIdToMapStage` and `runningStages` due to cancellation).
A new attempt is scheduled typically when there are fetch failures in
current job, and reexecution of parent is followed by re-execution of the stage
- and so new attempt.
I think the code looks fine as is.
