Ah also worth to say, IIUC, "latest" does not mean "current latest record in partition". The semantic of "latest" is actually `(current latest record in partition + 1)` so only the further input records will be read. The semantic already works for other offset options - you probably read nothing if you specify "latest" as starting offset in first batch. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
