@gengliangwang @xkrogen Just something someone might want to check: In preparing the PR for branch-3.1, I noticed that the Avro benchmarks for branch-3.1 run about 15-25% faster, across the board, than the Avro benchmarks for master. I didn't check to see if that's also true for other benchmarks (Parquet, ORC, etc.). I've been using the same AWS VM to run these benchmarks.
