I think the conversion can happen in end users' listener code whenever Spark provides data in consistent and stable way. Despite of the fact that the JSON output is human friendly, the more important aspect of the output is that it is a "source of truth". It wouldn't be a big deal for end users to convert the time as their convenient timezone if they need it - JVM language would support it so they even won't need Spark to deal with it. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
