@srowen I guess the part that I don't follow in your example is: how can a
scan see a file with mod time = 102 but not see a file with mod time = 101 in
the same listing call? Unless HDFS is really screwed up (unlikely), or the user
is manually messing with the files' times, this shouldn't happen.
