One more consideration: what about Hadoop 2.7 builds? My understanding is that Hadoop used unshaded Guava until [HADOOP-16924](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-16924) in Hadoop 3.3.1. Since Hadoop 2.7.4 still uses unshaded Guava, what are our options? We haven't decided to drop Hadoop 2.7 support yet. Should we continue to use unshaded old Guava under the Hadoop 2.7 profile? Is that potentially confusing to users? (To be clear, I'm highly in favor of upgrading Guava; I just want to make sure we've thought through the implications and interactions for all of the different build and deployment environments). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
