@thejdeep Are you satisfied with the idea @mridulm suggests, that
`maybeUpdate` happens only if a task is speculative ? You concerned about the
similar idea.

Another idea that changing `maybeUpdate` to `update` would one option.
I think it's inefficient for the HistoryServer but I'm OK with this idea if
a stage should not start so many speculative tasks in the real-world use cases.
