I haven't seen https://github.com/apache/spark/commit/4d90c5dc0efcf77ef6735000ee7016428c57077b either. The change fixes `ExecutionListenerBus` memory leak but not the memory leak of `SQLAppStatusListener` in case when new `SessionState` is touched. I have created similar [PR#35234](https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/35234). @cloud-fan @vinooganesh could you please have a look into it?
