@peter-toth would you mind rekicking the tests on this? It sounds like you have done quite a bit of manual testing on this with tpcds and possibly other queries? We are interested since we were trying something similar with @sperlingxx PRs. I'm reviewing in more detail and testing it out. I think it would be great to get this into Spark 3.3 if no objections.
