But in that case the V1 and V2 bucket tables are no longer compatible, which
is not very desirable right? to be honest I don't have a clear idea on this
yet. IMO, if DSv2 (e.g., Hive tables) are fully supported in future, users
should just be able to switch between V1 and V2 with a config change, and
expect the same behavior.
