Review Comment:
   @SandishKumarHN I am not sure about 'pbf' file. That seems quite specific to 
OpenStreetMaps. We can ask on spark-dev/user list. 
   
   If you are interested, we have a few improvements we can do for for protobuf 
functions. let me know.
