Hi @Samrose-Ahmed, our intent is for this to be an open format that other engines can adopt. We're aiming to put common code in a Java library under common/variant, so that other engines can reuse the core operations. At this point, I think it makes more sense to leave it in the Spark repo while we iterate on the implementation.
