Review Comment:
   I would maybe make `buildExecutionPlan` private, and than call it from 
`execute` - seems like we will never need to call `buildExecutionPlan` from 
outside?
   for example, if we add separate `execute*` function in the future, it can 
also call `buildExecutionPlan` internally.
