Just wanted to update here about the issue I raised above and didn't get any answer. Maybe it can be useful for people facing similar issues. AWS released EMR-7.4, which has Spark 3.5.2 with this revert. Also, as it will take some time for us to migrate from EMR-6.13 to EMR-7.4, they provided us with a patch that fixes the "authorized committer" issue and can be applied as a "bootstrap action" to our current jobs running on EMR-6.13. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
