I briefly chatted with @kayousterhout offline as well and I added a feature
flag for emergencies but kept it on by default.
@JoshRosen @sryza Will be great if you could test any workloads you have
with this change and let me know if you run into problems (or if you see wins
!). We are relatively early in the 1.5 cycle, so will have time to change
things if we see problems.
