In addition, @mihailoale-db and @cloud-fan , if you want to backport this, you should change the issue type from `Improvement` to `Bug` first according to the Apache Spark backporting guideline which doesn't allow a backport of improvement. Note that I'm not against that we have this in branch-4.0.
