   Maybe this could be a good topic to think through - should we downscale 
precision automatically or should we respect the user's intention of having 
sub-millisecond precision and throw an explicit error guiding them to downscale 
by themselves. Maybe, the latter is clearer on the semantic so probably good 
for the starter, and we will be able to revisit the decision on demand (either 
push the precision for event time to microsecond/nanosecond or auto-downscale 
precision).
